- Concrete Scanning:
GPR can quickly locate and document the position of
embedded electrical conduits, rebar, PVC pipes, metal
pipes and post tension cables buried inside a concrete slab.
GPR scanning prior to any cutting or coring lets workers know where these cables are located and ensures that the
project can proceed efficiently and safely.
- Locating Underground Utilities – Pipes, Tanks, Drums: Locating underground pipes and unseen targets in the ground
is critical when trying to dig or trench in the soil. GPR can
locate pipes, tanks, drums, dump sites, voids, sinkholes and
many other objects underground. Finding these underground
storage tanks or buried drums can be accomplished by using
a low frequency antenna.
- Bridge Deck Inspection: GPR can accurately map the concrete cover on the deck to
help isolate where the concrete has deteriorated and may
pose a serious problem. Concrete deterioration is a byproduct
of rebar corrosion. When using GPR to scan the
concrete, plan maps are created showing where the concrete
is compromised.
